A return to civility.

I work for the University of MN Extension in the Center for Community Vitality in the area of Leadership and Civic Engagement. My current focus has been in providing programmatic leadership in researching, developing and applying in the real world a civic engagement model for addressing public issues. This work includes building the capacity in others to lead, facilitate and "do" effective civic engagement. My Extension work has included regional projects addressing issues of water quality, poverty, population growth and methamphetamine use. Prior to joining Extension, I was an attorney and incorporate the skill set developed in analysis, questioning and framing in my current work of addressing critical community issues.
