Project Description:

The Youth Mentoring and Employment Project trains youth (13-18) in job skills and resume building. Youth receive one-to-one mentoring and learn to understand the demands of what it takes to obtain and keep a job. The Project is a collaboration of Urban Ventures with Minneapolis Public Schools, Cristo Rey High School, the WorkForce Center Step-Up program, Hennepin County Parol, and more than 20 companies and corporations who employ these youth. Youth in the program truly see the connection between school completion and their future success.

Urban Ventures Youth HUB works with the poorest neighborhoods in Minneapolis and is makig a practical and life-changing difference in the lives teens. They effect this change one youth, one family at a time through supportive mentoring relationships and training that remain in place. Youth also find a safe and fun place to participate in activities, learning enhancement, sports, trips and events and learn the possibilities of life.
