As a community foundation, we have been in operation since 1944. Over the last 20 years, as Rochester Area Foundation has grown from a staff of one to a staff of eight, we have been evolving in the way that we attempt to positively impact our community's vitality. From the creation of First Homes, a workforce housing provider and community land trust; to Imagine, the grassroots long-range planning initiative; we have been addressing community needs in innovative and transformative ways.
