For more than 50 years, members of the City of White Bear Lake, White Bear Township and surrounding communities had worked with the White Bear Lake Area Schools to build a true community center. In partnership with a public nonprofit, the Northeast YMCA, each partner developed a financial commitment to make possible an aquatics center, an expanded recreation program, and jointly managed community space to serve senior citizens during the day and teens after school
