CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FINALISTS IN THE FACING RACE IDEA CHALLENGE!

Nearly 50 Minnesotans participated in the Facing Race Idea Challenge and submitted their ideas to reduce racism in their communities. A panel of community judges narrowed the entries to five finalists and then you voted for your favorite ideas.

The top two vote-getting ideas each receive $2,500 to put their ideas into action. Congratulations to these winning ideas!

Project s.t.a.r.t. Leadership aims to engage Minneapolis youth in racial justice and equity work.

Youth Peacekeepers will bring together a group of racially diverse high school students and teach them communication skills and conflict resolution, starting with discussions about race.

View all of the great ideas submitted by scrolling down and clicking "Entries.”

Thank you to all who submitted or voted for an idea. We appreciate your efforts to create a community in which everyone feels safe, valued and respected. To learn more about the Facing Race initiative, visit www.FacingRace.org.
