The Theater of Public Policy
From Oct. 6 - Nov. 17, join InCommons every Thursday at HUGE Theater in Uptown Minneapolis for a new way to engage old debates. The Theater of Public Policy (T2P2 for short) explores, dissects, and re-imagines the issues of the day through improv theater.
Each show features an in-depth conversation with a leading policy maker or thinker on a specific topic. The ideas, anecdotes, problems, and memes that arise provide the inspiration for the T2P2 cast to craft long-form improvisational comedy theater. Learn more.
WANGARI MAATHAI, 1940 - 2011
We can learn much from Wangari Maathai, who passed away on Sunday at 71 from ovarian cancer.
She embodied ingenuity, community building, resiliency, passion and courageous leadership - traits many in the InCommons community embody or aspire to.
Most people in the U.S. don't know of Dr. Maathai, but she's one of the most renowned women in Africa, and her contribution to women, the environment, Africa and the world is immense.
